Date: Sep 25, 2008 - 6:25 PM EST Well Corinne
I'd call you the "C" word but that's best left to McCain to use against his own (second) wife. No, I'm not afraid of a few minor countries arming themselves. I am worried that Israel is armed to the teeth and with an evident blank check from the US can attack whomever it wants with near impunity. I do know that the US falsely attacked Iraq, destroying 100's of thousands of innocent lives, maiming men, women and children. It's the greatest shame the US will ever know. And it's time to get idiots like Bush and McCain away from power where they can't keep harming humans.

That was the response I got from asking what Bambi is going to do about Russia arming Venezuela, and helping Iran get arms. Dick Morris column today

Gosh, all these Jeffs!  I think over-population of Jeff's is becoming a problem on TH haha.  Anyways.  I turn to our friend Jeffrey from Michigan.  Apparently liberals are more than happy to stick their heads in the sand as Iran gets their nuclear program in full swing.  Now, I don't know about you, but if I see a person cocking fist to hit me, Im going to do something about it.  This specific liberal is worried that Israel is able to protect itself though.  Now...if only he could site some examples of Israel going on the offensive.  Perhaps he will name the 6 day war, in which Israel - seeing Egypt coming across the Sinai - went on an offensive-defense.  Hardly an argument, but you know how liberal minds work.

He then claims that we falsly went into iraq.  Hmmm....proof please!  It just so happens that all the intelligence agencies across the world agreed with our CIA about Iraq.  Then we maimed thousands of lives...not the terrorists...but us.  Its all the US's fault right?  I tell ya.  I hope that at death, all lifes questions are answered, because at least liberals will be enlightened at death.

BTW...Thank you to Corinne for this great post.  If anyone has any posts to send my way, feel free to post them up in this blog, or my primary "What grinds my gears?" blog.

Amanda Carpenter had a great column today on the hackers hacking into Palins email.  Check out the responses.  I recommend that everyone go to this column

 http://townhall.com/columnists/Column2.aspx?UrlTitle=leftwing_hackers_unlawfully_break_into_governor_palin%E2%80%99s_email&ns=AmandaCarpenter&dt=09/17/2008&page=full&comments=true

Everyone must see what scum the liberals really are.

Here are some quotes.
Oh sure they aren't liberal.
Serpentdove
You just aren't listening. The group that did this is neither conservative nor liberal. They don't give a crap about politics. They only care about making themselves laugh.

And yes, you do need to justify your outrage at the "evil librals" if you are blaming it on them. If you can just blame arbitrary people for any problem you want, then I blame the Easter Bunny for the failure of AIG.

If you cannot justify what you say, then don't say anything.

-----------
He doesn't even understand that government regulation of banks by requiring them to qualify people for sub-prime loans when they wouldn't otherwise qualify, is the problem.  Pity pity.

Subject: LOL
Claiming that McCain was trying to help the financial sector is like believing the Earth was flat.

Phil "Nation of Whiners" Gramm was his ecomonic adviser until a couple of months ago. Gramm was involved in the savings and loan crisis, Enron, and the bank deregulation that has led to this week's collapses. McCain buys into the deregulation that caused all of the bad risk taking to occur in the first place.

-----------------

Again, after me explaining in the column, he doesn't understand this crisis in the least.

Subject: Greed
Greed was the cause of this crisis. Let's not pretend its anything else.

People that couldn't afford houses wanted houses so they took out loans they shouldn't have.

Companies wanted to make more money off of the rising house prices so they were willing to take risks they should not have been taking.

Anyways, after kicking the crap out of you losers for the last hour or so, I've become bored. Enjoy singing "Hail to the Chief" to President Obama in January.

------------------

My gosh, can they even breed this stupid?  They had to have been forced to stupidity by our doctrinating schools

Democrat Hackers
Even if Obama did approve of the hacking, or had knowledge of it, there is nothing illegal about that.

-------------------------

This is the same Don Juan who claimed he was liberatarian.  *smirk*  Check out his source.

Subject: E-mail hack a hoax?
Remember that Karl Rove bugged his own office; this smells like Rove's handiwork.

It is worth noting that nothing compromising came out (what you would expect from a hoax). A DKos blog is already making the allegation, and the reasoning appears sound:

"Gabriel Ramuglia, 25 year old webmaster of CTunnel.com said this is highly unusual behavior for web hackers trying to conceal their identity.

"Since they were dumb enough to post a full screenshot that showed most of the [Ctunnel.com] URL, I should be able to find that in my log," Ramuglia said.

Further, a full newscycle after the web account was hacked Ramuglia said he has "not been contacted by any law enforcement agency" including the U.S. Secret Service. This is despite McCain camp's statement that it was asking for "a full inventigation" of the matter."

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/9/18/41346/5231/610/ 602465

------------------

Then lets try to make it seem like this is an every day event.  So what the VP candidate's email got hacked...who hasn't had it done to them right?

Not #1 on the list of concerns, really
semp: "Where is all the outrage from the Democrats about invasion of privacy? They were screaming from the roof tops over the patriot act. We can't have people looking at electronic communications even if they belong to terrorists. Sarah Palin's email is hacked by left wing zealots and I hear... is that crickets."

Given that Karl Rove bugged his own office, and federal authorities are presumably on the case, there isn't much of a reason to get one's panties into a bunch. Besides, given the disaster-in-process happening on Wall Street, it really shouldn't be at the top of anyone's list of concerns. Folks get hacked all the time, and identities get stolen on an industrial scale.

------------------

Try and pin the wrongdoing on Palin.  Jeez...these idiots know no bounds.  Given that they found PERSONAL information, that means she was using it for PERSONAL use.  thick skulls.

Subject: So where is the evidence?
Let me see if I get this right. Some hackers break into a yahoo mail account that Snowflake set up for herself in order to circumvent using state issued email accounts so that she could do official state business without having it archived. Immediately the finger points to "leftwing" hacks because some group involved in this sort of thing may have protested at the RNC convention?

Seems to me, if Snowflake did her job like she was supposed to and did her official business on a state email account as per the law, she wouldn't be in this predicament. I blame her for serious misjudgment.

---------------

Then proceed to make some things up, while using another incident to marginalize what happened.  In case this Jason didn't know, Nixon had to resign.

Subject: Why, I never!!!!
These freakin' leftists are horrible. Republicans would never do anything like this.

(cough)Watergate(cough)
(sneeze)Iran-Contra(sneeze)
(cough)Dick Cheney(cough)

------------

If anyone has heard of that book(God Delusion)...its about the origin of man.  It has all this information, yet suspiciously misses how we actually came to be...interesting.

Subject: Education
Its true. Once someone has actually learned about history and sees what works and what doesn't work, they become more liberal.

When you are more educated you have the ability to see through the pathetic propaganda of the right wing. The American right consists of two parts: businessman and morons.

The businessman are very smart guys and only care about their personal wealth. They realized that there is a large portion of uneducated idiots in America that they can manipulate easily with issues that don't matter. Most of this plays on the fears and superstitions of these idiots. That is why the right makes such a big deal about abortion and gays. It is very effective at making retarded religious people angry. That is also why the right resorts to name calling. Even if it is irrational, it is still good at making people angry.

How about you morons stop reading your Bible and listening to Rush. Pick up some books (I recommend you start with the God Delusion) and learn a thing or two.

----------------

I guess he doesn't know that the democrats in congress pretty much own Pickens company.  Just think if any of those bills passed where we use that company.  They would be regulating how much energy everyone gets.  It would be eastern Europe all over again.

Decent conversation
You mean like "Not just Sarah Palin hackers, but all. Goverment should regulate it more. Stop hacker websites and info sharing. Start a "Hang a Hacker" program."

This website is for losers that love to be brainwashed by the republican elites. The top of the republican party is a million times more elitist than anything you will see from the left (including the Kennedy family).

Those businessman are laughing at you people. They love the fact that you continue to vote for their guys even though it actually hurts you.

The left would be laughing at your stupidity too. The only problem is that you are screwing up the country by voting for idiots like Bush and McCain.

--------------

More stupidity.  Perhaps he should look into the reasons why on many of these issues.

This again from a liberatarian.  Also...notice that the emails have not been shown to have work related things.  For example they got bristols phone number and called her.  They have found other PERSONAL information...but nothing business.  I tell ya...

Subject: Sarah Mooseolini's bad judgment
Ron: "Seems to me, if Snowflake did her job like she was supposed to and did her official business on a state email account as per the law, she wouldn't be in this predicament. I blame her for serious misjudgment."

It's just standard RNC operating procedure -- which is bad judgment, almost by definition.

These idiots blaming "the Left" are like their counterparts on the Left, blaming the 'Pubs for David Duke.

----------------------

This is as laughable as it is stupid.  SS work?  Yea, its only bankrupting our country.  Medicaid...yea thats another reason our government is going bankrupt.  those two policies alone take up 1.3 trillion of our budget.  Yea, they are working great.  *rolls eyes*

Subject: Corinne
Social programs that worked?

Social security has kept old people from dying in the streets. That's a pretty big success. The same goes for medicare.

Are you saying that the American workers don't deserve protection after they are too old to work? Maybe you should get a time machine and go back to before 1935 and see just how bad things were. I guess since conservatives aren't capable of reading history books that don't have fairy tales, you will never understand this.

Medicaid is also pretty useful at protecting poor children from having no health care.

------------------

Yes, lack of funds.  I would be willing to be that we spend more on sciences than any other country...but thats just me.

Corinne
Actually, the reason that children do poorly in math and science is anti-intellectualism. It is not cool to study hard and gain knowledge.

You did not even address the other point I brought up. Conservatives tend to ignore arguments that beat them because they are weak minded. You can't blame liberal professors or the babying culture on the Republicans lack of will to fund science research.

Grow up and get some real arguments.

--------------

You get the point.  Check out the column for yourself!
BTW...the evidence is in...it was a liberal...he did it from Chicago and he was the son of a Tennessee State Representative.  Figures.

From Chicago though eh?  Susipious...

Sowell had a very good column today, so if you are reading this days later, I recommend you go back and read that column.

this kid, and I say kid even though he never said his age, syler was acting ridiculous.  I only copied one since it could stand alone, but many of his responses were funny, so if you do a ctrl+f find for "syler" you can scroll through them pretty quickly.

question... seriously.
The US was not always a super power. It became a super power around the time of WWII.

This also was the time when a lot of social programs were created, like Welfare.

So, did the social program HELP the US become the super power it is today? Or could the US have become a super power without the social programs?

This next one is from the same column.  Proud Liberal is always good for a laugh.  He mentioned that conservatives are for inequality and I said he must explain that.  This was his explanation.  Its a bunch of nonsense, so good luck in a clear decode.

Conservative thought has morphed, though. Burke's explanation for why some men were born rich and some poor was that God purposely made that decision. This proved somewhat less than sustainable as democracy grew in the United States following WWII. But the question still remained, why is there inequality in consequences or social or economic status.

Conservatives finally hit on an explanation, sometime in the last 30-40 years I think. God made men equal in some regard - thus nodding to equality and democracy - but it was up to the individual to apply himself and someone who applied himself could do anything he wants to do.

Conservatives actually have a cognative dissonance at this point. On the one hand you say that the difference in status depends upon taking personal responsibility. On the other hand you are quick to point out that individuals are born with unequal talents - not at this point ascribing that directly to God - and that equality is unachievable because of the difference in talents that people are born with, ergo, differences in income and success are also due to the original inequality of talents.

This all plays out in a unique utopian fantasy created by conservatives which you call the "free market." The free market has the magical quality of rewarding talent and hard work and there is, thus, a direct causality between birth talent and hard work and economic consequences.

While you think you are not directly supporting social classes and inequality, you nevertheless have the attitude that God is a Republican who either created or lavishly approves of the free market and, therefore, no changes in what you see as the status quo is justified.

This, I maintain, is tantamount to supporting inequality, and in God's name, I might add.

---------------------------

I guess it is unfair of me to use my talents to get ahead.  I must only be as smart as the weakest link.

Well well well...Don Juan was back in Coulters thread.  He decided to make himself look an idiot again...
While reading, keep in mind that he calls himself a liberatarian.

GIGOLO/MILF '08!!!
Let's keep in mind that St. Sarah of the Loyal Oder of Mooseburgers didn't even write her own speech. Ben Stein is right: This woman needs a freakin' baby-sitter. She's an empty pantsuit of Bushian proportion.

There's a lot there for conservatives to love: (1) Palin imposed a windfall profits tax on oil and (2) raised taxes and incurred massive deficits in Wasilla to fund her pet projects, and (3) has neither the educational background or demonstrated understanding of economics, foreign policy, and/or military matters to be our Chief Executive. She has already lied about her background, but with politicians, that is practically pandemic.

Could you religious nut-jobs stop drooling long enough to explain how it is that, if experience as mayor of the city of Richmond (pop. 200,000) and three years as governor of Virginia (Gov. Tim Kaine's (D-VA) resume) is insufficient credential to qualify one for the office of Vice President (Karl Rove), it logically follows that being the mayor of a tiny hamlet (Wasilla, AK; pop. ~5,000 at the time) and a mere twenty months as governor of Alaska (less than one-tenth the population of Virginia) does?

------------

Suck tailpipe, Aimee
Aimee: "But tell me... Do the very few jokes that some republicans make at the expense of democrats make it perfectly alright for the LIB's to come at Sarah's daughter like a horde of Howling Monsters?"

When did they do that? Do you even have a clue as to what has been said over at Daily Kos or the HuffPost -- or do you just suck the Party's propaganda tailpipe? The issue regarding the birth of Trig revolves around Sarah Palin's poor judgment, which is only explained and/or excused by the theory that she covered for daughter Bristol (who was out of school for five months, which is what you would expect if she were a "gal in trouble" who wanted to keep that knowledge from the public). If Trig is Sarah's child, she is not fit for national office, on account of her demonstrated gross lack of judgment.

-------------

Subject: Are they telling us the truth?
Charles M: "From what I've been reading, Gov. Palin's daughter is *not* having an illegitimate child: she is marrying the father. Bristol's pregnancy might never have made the news -- I know, but one can dream -- except that the trash-press loyal to Obama was alleging that she, and not the governor, had borne little Trig. Overlapping pregnancies??"

Are they telling us the truth? It's not like a woman who faked a pregnancy to protect her daughter (it probably would have worked in AK, where no one cares) wouldn't issue a lie to cover the first lie, and this one sort-of explains why Sarah doesn't sport a residual "baby bump," while Bristol does.

Personally, I think that if the cover story is true, it reflects badly on Sarah Palin's personal judgment. And isn't that what the Party has been whining about since Day One?

---------------

GIGOLO/MILF '08!!!
Biog Mick: "The way I hear it, Palin WOULD have kept her daughter's sin a personal matter IF the National Media had ALLOWED it. She'd been ACCUSED of LYING about her OWN child you know."

Did Palin try to hide Bristol's indiscretion by faking her own pregnancy? That used to happen a lot back in the day, and it probably would have worked, had Palin not decided to step up in weight class. The problem is in the implausibility of her cover story, which paints her as displaying staggeringly poor judgment -- which necessarily taints McCain. Problem is, as the current leadership of the Republican Party is fresh out of ideas (they are more concerned with retaining power than in fixing the country), all they have left to play is the "judgment" card.

--------------

Subject: The prosecution of GWB
Vic: "LOL, this may make the Kossites happy, but it is not the "hope and change" message and not what the average voter wants to hear."

This average voter believes that no man should be above the law and none should be beyond its protection, and DOES want to hear it. George W. Bush should be criminally prosecuted, just as Bill Clinton should have been prosecuted for perjury.

Obama and judgment
Doc: "Oh yea, because Obambi has so much more. Now which should we talk about? His vote on killing live born babies?"

I may be funny this way, but I think that a Senator should represent the views of his or her constituents. Chicago isn't Inbred, WV or Northern Exposure, AK.

Doc: "Or maybe his lack of judgment of his friends like willi ayres or the not so Rev. Wright?"

Are you Catholic? If so, do you agree with every absurd ex cathedra pronouncement from the Vatican? I don't have a problem with people who disagree with me, and don't see why Obama should disassociate himself from either man. Remember, Menachem Begin was a terrorist in his youth.

Doc: "Heck let’s just listen to what his own VP pick is saying about the fact he is not ready, but McCain is."

The only discernible difference between a politician and a whore is that the latter is honest about what she is doing. What Biden said in the orgiastic throes of his own blind ambition carries no weight with me.

If there was any doubt that Barack Obama was a competent executive, he put that to bed in his comparatively flawless campaign. By stark comparison, John Senile McCain looked it, and Shrillary bumbled her way into oblivion. The McCain resume betrays no credible evidence of managerial competence, and Palin could use a little more seasoning. I've been to Wasilla; if you blink twice, you miss it.
---------------------------------------------
Here is his evidence, part 1.

Rielle Hunter Redux
CKHustler: "If you have any, and I mean any, proof of this, please come forward with it."

Think Rielle Hunter. Remember the denials? I've gotten to the point where, when a pol denies something, I assume that it is true until proven otherwise. :)

Frankly, if all there really was to the story was that a teen got pregnant, it wouldn't be much of a story; I say, good luck to the kid, and godspeed. But that ain't it, and Amanda Carpenter knows this as well as anyone.

Certainly, the photographic evidence in WaterBreakGate constitutes cause for suspicion, which takes it out of the set of pure hypotheticals you want so desperately to put it into. Care to point out the massive "baby bump" in this picture: http://www.alaskapffa.org/index.cfm?zone=/unionactive/view _article.cfm&HomeID=59844 ? Sarah went from not showing at all to REALLY showing, almost overnight. That ain't normal.

The claim that Bristol is pregnant now is a good way to explain why her body hasn't quite recovered from giving birth to Trig. Expect an "unexpected" miscarriage.

They just need to keep the lid on this for nine weeks.
----------------------------------
Evidence part 2:
You're the one who's hiding
CKHustler: "" By way of example, if Trig is really Bristol's, then Sarah is probably committing insurance fraud by saying that he is hers --"

If you have any, and I mean any, proof of this, please come forward with it. "

We have credible evidence warranting further investigation; whether it matures into proof is yet to be seen. Here's another oddity, as reported by TPM:

"Remember - this story did NOT originate this week, It was bubbling around AK since April.

The other alleged facts are that Bristol was out fo school for 4-5 months, while Palin was pregnant with a case of "mono". The father was also on a leave from his oil field job. Numerous web posts from AK say this was common knowledge up there and with some of her friends, none that I can substantiate however.

During that time when out with mono she had a car accident reported in the local paper:

Wasilla Police Department (Other Motorist name redacted by me)
On February 8, 2008, at 1737 hours, Wasilla Police responded to two vehicle collision at Seward Meridian Parkway and Fireweed Drive . Investigation revealed that Bristol Palin, age 17 of Wasilla, was driving a 4-door sedan and attempted to turn into a business when she struck a 2-door sedan driven by XXXXXXXXXXx, age xx, of XXXXX. Palin was issued a citation for Failing to Use Due Care to Avoid a Collision. XXXX was issued a citation for an expired registration and no proof of insurance."

I've had mono. You're not out driving around.
---------------------------------------------
Add all those 2 pieces and you get...well nothing to me, but not to him!!! haha!!
Subject: Examine the entire body of evidence
Hustler: "Care to explain how wearing a sweatshirt shows the curves of the body? I notice she is holding a jacket in front of that as well. That is no proof, heck that is worse than no proof. If that is the only thing you can put forward you clearly have nothing."

Again, there's plenty of evidence, of which it is but a single piece. Add everything up, and get back to me.
---------------------------------------
Managerial skills?
Subject: Like, DUH!!!
Hustler: "How does running a good campaign make him worthy to lead?"

Running a national campaign requires managerial skills. Obama has them.

Running a hamlet the size of Wasilla is less of a task, by far. Running Alaska is like running Denver or Seattle. No foreign policy experience to speak of.

I just wish the rabid partisans would stow the absurd arguments, and focus on what this is about: POLICY CHOICES.

-----------------------

Comparing Obama with McCain...which...they both ran campaigns so both must have all that managerial training that comes with it no? haha

Subject: Don't be so obviously dishonest, H!
Hustler: "Don Juan
Campaign = President experience?

This is about the most laughable thing I have heard."

Can you rabid religious loons be honest for even a breath? I said, "managerial skills." There is no training table for Presidents, apart from the Vice-Presidency.

Speaking of which, how can you claim with a straight face that John "Black Ace" McCain has executive experience? He didn't get it as a REALLY LOUSY flyboy, and he didn't get it in the Hanoi Hilton. He didn't get it as a P.R. flack for a beer distributor, and he didn't get it in the Senate.

John McCain is now 72 years old, and has a history of failure rivaling only George W. Bush on his resume. What makes you think he can run this country?

Crickets on standby.
--------------------------

Palin has none(Governor) and Obama has it all (campaign)

Subject: The evidence is sufficient
Hustler: "See this is where you go off course. You have no measure of evidence in this case with Palin yet you go forward."

There's plenty of evidence. It's just that you are so partisan that you would rather gnaw your arm off than acknowledge it. When someone tells me that Sarah Palin has more experience than Barack Obama, and that John McCain -- who has NO executive experience whatever -- is somehow qualified to be our nation's CEO, the only reaction I can have is revulsion and derision.

Frankly, neither candidate is an optimal choice. It's all about policy decisions, and if you were honest, you'd admit it.
-----------------------------------

After all that he has the gall to say he is a republican?  What a laughing stock!

FAUX News?!?
Hustler: "hmm...talking to Fox News is the same as negotiating with terrorists? Oh wait...Obama and the democrats have 'scaped out of talking on Fox. so forget that one."

FAUX News is Pravda in its heyday; it is not a credible source of bona fide news. If I were running the Democratic Party, I wouldn't even credential them. And yes, I am a Republican.

Notice the premise of his argument...Obama is not an empty suit.  Then look to his response...the last paragraph there about all the feelings Obama puts into him.  Pitiful...just pitiful.

Coulter's thread
Subject: J.Mind: A paper suit?
I think anyone with any bit of political acumen calling Sen. Barack Obama a "empty/paper suit" its totally ignorant assessment.

A unknown"empty/paper suit" doesnt come out of nowhere and defeat the formidable clintons for the dem prez nomination, outraises his repub opponent in funds by a almost a 3 to 1 margin and is in a leading or dead heat with his far better known republican opponent with a very favorable chance at defeating him in the general election. He also doesnt go to europe and receive accolades and a welcome audience with u.s. allies in the gwot while the incumbent
repub prez is clearly detested by them.

A "empty/paper suit" doesnt put together a campaign staff that is running a absolutely brilliant campaign with few misteps thus far and has put together a organization of inspired workers on the ground who are attacking the rnc in states that are traditionally red putting repubs on the defensive.

obama a empty/paper suit?

that assessment is absoltely ludicrous and a joke.

obama is a brilliant young politician/strategist who represents the future of the democratic party and repubs/cons are cleary envious because they have no one of his generation like him to represent their interest so they continue to run fossils like mccain who represent the past and the status quo. continue to underestimate obama at your own peril.

This is from Burts column I believe.  In any case you should read Burts column and comments on that day as I had some fun with Sophie!  You won't be disappointed! haha
I thought this quote was typical of elitism...the average person cannot handle themselves!  They can't handle their own money so the government must!

Primus and Summers...

Go to the average american mall and tell me you trust those people setting the standards of american culture through the free market system...

And I DO indeed love Europe! Especially those frenchies!

And America too! Being born in america, I'm a little more partial to that connection.

Thank god though for the influence, culture, and history of our european friends!

Viva la France!

Posts from 7/16

These are all from Malkins thread of 7/16.  Sorry I am a couple days late, but Ive been busy.  I recommend that all people, that have time, go and read the conversation between paranoidmystic against Max Power and I.  Just do a search for paranoidmystic and every time he posts, read it and every time we have his name in the subject, read it.  These quotes are funny without our side, but they are even better when you read both sides.  I was nearly crying I was laughing so hard.  You will also notice times when say he mentions hitler...he is responding to us there.  There are a couple places he is directly responding, but you should find these funny nonetheless.  Have fun!

Your conflict resolution class: does it cover what you do it only one side
attends?"

Of course!

The truth is that when someone fights you, you will fight back forever. There
is no end until all involved are dead. That is not a solution.

Peace is not War. The two processes are very different, and one will not create
the other ever.

We MUST begin the peace process. As ALL of our wise teachers have taught, peace
is not weakness. It is actually the spiritual strength of humanity, what
separates us from beasts.

You need to understand what peace is
A common fallacy = "BOTH SIDES must desire peace for peace to be possible.
We are dealing with a death cult that does not want peace."

This is a deep misunderstanding about the nature of peace. Peace is not the
absence of war. It is not a state of being, but a process. Peace still resolves
conflicts. It does so in the only way that sticks - without violence.

Peace has never, even for a day, been on the table in the United States of
America. We have yet to acknowledge it as important or useful.

Very simply, when we take up peace as our guide rather than war, we will find
and resolve the root issues that create the Jihadis.

We cannot kill them all. Even if we did kill them all, their children would
return by another name.

It's time to wake up and start acting with wisdom. Humanity has been at endless
war for 10,000 years. When will we listen to the wise ones?

War is over.

" You need to stop reading about fairy tales and live in the real world bud. "

I live in the very real world, with a very long history and a VERY simple
lesson that we each must learn before we pass on.

War is Over. It does not work. All the wise ones from every tradition - and
that includes Islam - has pointed to the fact that there is One Source from
which we all came and to which we all return.

To wage war on another is to wage war on yourself. Smoke that for a second and
really understand what I'm saying. The Jihadis are us, in different shoes.

I'm not saying we started the war. War perpetuates itself. But every time we
respond with violence we just spin the wheel.

You guys know Bin Laden was our man, right? That we trained him and equipped
him?

Peace is not easy. It requires the greatest courage and fortitude. But I
believe in the American people - we are strong and brave. We can and will at
last follow the teachings of every wisdom tradition.

We must lay down the weapons of war and pick up the weapons of peaces -
compassion, wisdom, and respect.

We were not at peace on 9/10/2001. Don't be foolish. We were simply waiting for
the other shoe to drop.

Subject: CK, you do not understand that peace is
a process.

Peace is an active state, where challenges are met head-on and conflicts
resolved non-violently. Because you have never heard of nonviolent conflict
resolution, I recommend you take the class:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4F8kJchX4I

In a peaceful world, Napolean and Hitler would not have risen to power because
their greedy fear-mongering would not have taken root in the populace.

And what is your obsession with names? There are so many wise ones, it's crazy.
Some of the blockbusters include Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed. But more recently
there have been Gandhi, MLK, Ram Dass, Ken Wilber. There are so many! Odds are
you're a fan of one and don't even know it!

The path of peace is the most difficult calling for humanity. And yet it is our
destiny to face this final challenge from our animal origins.

"tell that to the 3000 families"
3000 mourning families in the US.

80,000 mourning families in Iraq.

The mourning is universal, and it is through this anguish that we may step into
wisdom.

Creating more agony does not create peace.

Peace is not the goal, it is the process. It is not a passive state of no-war.
It is an active state of non-violent conflict resolution.

War can only make more war.

Peace is the path.

God speaks through the wise ones. And if the story of the Jews can teach us
anything it is that war is a failed process.

It took truly enlightened ones to bring us the process of peace, out of the
lessons of the ashes of war.

But now it is here. There are no "vikings at the gate." There was a spectacular
and deadly display of vandalism, specifically designed to incite war. As we
have taken the bait, so have we created the exact same effect elsewhere.

It must end.

The time has come. We have the path, as laid down by the wisdom traditions. And
that does include Islam, BTW.

If you take a moment and breathe, the insight will come to you. Eventually you
will realize that war only creates war. A new and separate process must be set
in motion - proscribed by many but not yet followed by mankind.

The era of peace is in our grasp. Strength is on our side. Will we change the
world? Or repeat the sad history of the past 10,000 years?

You asked me a hypothetical question and then are amazed that I give a
hypothetical answer?

It's really very simple. The best time to wage peace is always Right Now.

It's actually easy to stop a war. You simply put a human face on it. Both sides
are always guilty of making the enemy out to be a monster. Otherwise the
dignity of the people will rise up and put a stop to it.

To the extent that we can think of "our enemy" as ourselves in another
situation, we can and will resolve all problems with nonviolent means.

Does that mean there is no justice or airing of grievances? No. Peace is a real
process, not a pie in the sky.

Quite unlike the macho fairy tale that there will be "peace" if we simply kill
them all and let God sort them out. That may work in your first person shooter
game, but here in the real world you only create more violence when you step
into the cycle of violence.

Be wise. Be thoughtful. Be peace.

"So, our proper response is to allow Bin Laden, Hitler or any willfull invader,
to take over America and its laws, while we peacefully resist with civil
dissobedience until they get tired? Brilliant."

For all the rhetoric, who has Iran invaded in the past 100 years?

And the US?

This macho BS is a prescription for more pain. Why not take the path of
insight?

Peace is a method laid out by the founding fathers of all the important
traditions. Why will we ignore our own wisdom traditions? What mad bloodthirst
is this to not recognize the moment for peace is at hand?

Blow up half of Iran and what is left? A very angry Iran and an inflamed middle
east. Where is the solution in your calls for violence. There is none. At the
end there is a pile of bodies and still the same problems remain.

Young boys! It is time to become men.

The call to peace is VASTLY more difficult. And yet it is our true purpose on
earth to live together in harmony.

conservatives. They simply have to get used to listening to Obama in a
different way.

when you can be as good a writer as mr woods is a golfer then feel free to
write what you will, about him and what you imasgine his thought are. they are
evry bit as valuablee as yours until you somehow prove differently and believe
nm=-me you havent gone very far in that distance with this article. until then
you would do well to assess as much intellignece to his thoughts as to yours.
in general your articles very poor. but then its what ive been taught to
expect.

silly arguement. what happens here when an immigrant from bora bors murders any

murders a =american white christian? what happern s if a tibetan buddhist comes
here and murders an american white. iis that enought to show how deep your
prejudices.runs in you,. these examples are happening every day in this conutry
and yet when faced with the choice yiou say you werr faced with you conuldnt
even bring them to consciousness. meanwhile as far as muslim law being used in
european countries that is so much a myth that i find it incredible that any
reputable pubklisher would publish if here in the US. any citizen in a free
country is free to offer a defense. muslims choose to offer the defense of
muslim law. they are denied it ., there are no trials in any part of eirpoe
that are goverrned by muslim legal standards, but that doesnt
prevent muslims from asking for thenm then there are murderersin the us in the
united astates that try insanity as a defemse. it is al;most always not
accepted. but he can say he triesd. if a muslim prisoner in americans jails, as
has has happened many times_ commits a crime and is tried he can do all th
asking for miuslim law that he wante, hew will br granted a hearing and it will
be, as it always has been , turned dowmn, you are reading fiction and quoting
fiction and you should know better. to keep on doing it after youknow the facts
makes you a liar and dangerous. someone might believe you so stop

Why taxing the rich is good
The rich seem to believe that they have an entitlement to be rich and once they
are rich have an entitlement to do whatever they like. They seem to feel that
they are a special interest group.

What they don't realize is that we can replace the whole crowd of "rich" with
another crowd any day. The current rich are not irreplaceable as they seem to
think they are.

The rich are dependent upon all the physical and social systems which
generations of average Americans have worked to put into place, such as
educational, political, legal and financial systems. The rich merely use the
work of previous generations who made the critical investments to take
advantage of those previous investments.

The "rich's money" is not their money. Without our financial, banking,
political and social systems the rich would be powerless to start these systems
from scratch.

The rich are simply not entitled to skim the profits that are generated by the
collective action of generations of previous Americans.

Any profits over $100,000 a year should be returned to the American public
through confiscatory taxes.

"To make some kind of larger point out of the fact that it's been 6+ years since a terrorist attack is patently absurd. That's like saying New Orleans-"Hurricane free since 2005."

That was in response to Coulter giving credit to Bush for having no attacks on the US since 9/11. As if hurricanes decide when to attack. haha
