These are all from Malkins thread of 7/16. Sorry I am a couple days late, but Ive been busy. I recommend that all people, that have time, go and read the conversation between paranoidmystic against Max Power and I. Just do a search for paranoidmystic and every time he posts, read it and every time we have his name in the subject, read it. These quotes are funny without our side, but they are even better when you read both sides. I was nearly crying I was laughing so hard. You will also notice times when say he mentions hitler...he is responding to us there. There are a couple places he is directly responding, but you should find these funny nonetheless. Have fun!

Your conflict resolution class: does it cover what you do it only one side
attends?"
Of course!
The truth is that when someone fights you, you will fight back forever. There
is no end until all involved are dead. That is not a solution.
Peace is not War. The two processes are very different, and one will not create
the other ever.
We MUST begin the peace process. As ALL of our wise teachers have taught, peace
is not weakness. It is actually the spiritual strength of humanity, what
separates us from beasts.

You need to understand what peace is
A common fallacy = "BOTH SIDES must desire peace for peace to be possible.
We are dealing with a death cult that does not want peace."
This is a deep misunderstanding about the nature of peace. Peace is not the
absence of war. It is not a state of being, but a process. Peace still resolves
conflicts. It does so in the only way that sticks - without violence.
Peace has never, even for a day, been on the table in the United States of
America. We have yet to acknowledge it as important or useful.
Very simply, when we take up peace as our guide rather than war, we will find
and resolve the root issues that create the Jihadis.
We cannot kill them all. Even if we did kill them all, their children would
return by another name.
It's time to wake up and start acting with wisdom. Humanity has been at endless
war for 10,000 years. When will we listen to the wise ones?
War is over.

Subject: There is only one world
" You need to stop reading about fairy tales and live in the real world bud. "
I live in the very real world, with a very long history and a VERY simple
lesson that we each must learn before we pass on.
War is Over. It does not work. All the wise ones from every tradition - and
that includes Islam - has pointed to the fact that there is One Source from
which we all came and to which we all return.
To wage war on another is to wage war on yourself. Smoke that for a second and
really understand what I'm saying. The Jihadis are us, in different shoes.
I'm not saying we started the war. War perpetuates itself. But every time we
respond with violence we just spin the wheel.
You guys know Bin Laden was our man, right? That we trained him and equipped
him?
Peace is not easy. It requires the greatest courage and fortitude. But I
believe in the American people - we are strong and brave. We can and will at
last follow the teachings of every wisdom tradition.
We must lay down the weapons of war and pick up the weapons of peaces -
compassion, wisdom, and respect.
We were not at peace on 9/10/2001. Don't be foolish. We were simply waiting for
the other shoe to drop.

Subject: CK, you do not understand that peace is
a process.
Peace is an active state, where challenges are met head-on and conflicts
resolved non-violently. Because you have never heard of nonviolent conflict
resolution, I recommend you take the class:

In a peaceful world, Napolean and Hitler would not have risen to power because
their greedy fear-mongering would not have taken root in the populace.
And what is your obsession with names? There are so many wise ones, it's crazy.
Some of the blockbusters include Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed. But more recently
there have been Gandhi, MLK, Ram Dass, Ken Wilber. There are so many! Odds are
you're a fan of one and don't even know it!
The path of peace is the most difficult calling for humanity. And yet it is our
destiny to face this final challenge from our animal origins.

"tell that to the 3000 families"
3000 mourning families in the US.
80,000 mourning families in Iraq.
The mourning is universal, and it is through this anguish that we may step into
wisdom.
Creating more agony does not create peace.
Peace is not the goal, it is the process. It is not a passive state of no-war.
It is an active state of non-violent conflict resolution.
War can only make more war.
Peace is the path.

God speaks through the wise ones. And if the story of the Jews can teach us
anything it is that war is a failed process.
It took truly enlightened ones to bring us the process of peace, out of the
lessons of the ashes of war.
But now it is here. There are no "vikings at the gate." There was a spectacular
and deadly display of vandalism, specifically designed to incite war. As we
have taken the bait, so have we created the exact same effect elsewhere.
It must end.
The time has come. We have the path, as laid down by the wisdom traditions. And
that does include Islam, BTW.
If you take a moment and breathe, the insight will come to you. Eventually you
will realize that war only creates war. A new and separate process must be set
in motion - proscribed by many but not yet followed by mankind.
The era of peace is in our grasp. Strength is on our side. Will we change the
world? Or repeat the sad history of the past 10,000 years?

Subject: CK, I hope you do come back
You asked me a hypothetical question and then are amazed that I give a
hypothetical answer?
It's really very simple. The best time to wage peace is always Right Now.
It's actually easy to stop a war. You simply put a human face on it. Both sides
are always guilty of making the enemy out to be a monster. Otherwise the
dignity of the people will rise up and put a stop to it.
To the extent that we can think of "our enemy" as ourselves in another
situation, we can and will resolve all problems with nonviolent means.
Does that mean there is no justice or airing of grievances? No. Peace is a real
process, not a pie in the sky.
Quite unlike the macho fairy tale that there will be "peace" if we simply kill
them all and let God sort them out. That may work in your first person shooter
game, but here in the real world you only create more violence when you step
into the cycle of violence.
Be wise. Be thoughtful. Be peace.

Subject: Is chest-thumping an invasion?
"So, our proper response is to allow Bin Laden, Hitler or any willfull invader,
to take over America and its laws, while we peacefully resist with civil
dissobedience until they get tired? Brilliant."
For all the rhetoric, who has Iran invaded in the past 100 years?
And the US?
This macho BS is a prescription for more pain. Why not take the path of
insight?
Peace is a method laid out by the founding fathers of all the important
traditions. Why will we ignore our own wisdom traditions? What mad bloodthirst
is this to not recognize the moment for peace is at hand?
Blow up half of Iran and what is left? A very angry Iran and an inflamed middle
east. Where is the solution in your calls for violence. There is none. At the
end there is a pile of bodies and still the same problems remain.
Young boys! It is time to become men.
The call to peace is VASTLY more difficult. And yet it is our true purpose on
earth to live together in harmony.
